New VR Scenario for Anti-Smoking Training

A new scenario appeared in our addiction software package that can be used for various aspects of nicotine addiction.

For example:

  • Train new rituals
  • Activate the reward center with new stimuli
  • Acute stress reduction with alternative actions

Together with Mrs. Dr. Bauer-Kemeny from the Thoraxklinik Heidelberg, we have developed various ideas that could be useful for patients. For example the following activities:

  • Light cigarettes, put them away or smoke them out
  • Eat cookies, fruit or vegetables as alternatives
  • Drink coffee or water
  • Open windows and ventilate the apartment
  • Go out on the terrace and breathe in the fresh air
  • Take a stress ball in your hand and squeeze it
