Visiting a bar can be an enormous challenge for patients. Visual and acoustic stimuli are seductive and inviting. In this scenario, those affected approach the situation step by step.
At the beginning, patients find themselves in the entrance area of a bar. From there they can move either to the bar counter or to the slot machines. Three of the slot machines are occupied while one machine is freely available.
“Bar”: Hide slot machines, focus on the bar area
“Trigger Win”: Slot machines generate light and sound effects (increased attraction)
“Show Guests”: Avatars at tables create a consumption-oriented atmosphere
“Tap Beer”: Bartender taps and serves a beer
“Nicotine”: Ashtrays with smoking cigarettes can be placed on tables
Patients move around the room either through their own steps or using the teleport points on the floor
At the bar, they can choose from various drinks via a drinks menu
Drinks can be picked up with the virtual hand, carried, set down, or emptied through a drinking motion
The free slot machine can be activated at the push of a button, which can trigger a win
Cigarettes can be picked up and a typical smoking effect can be simulated by moving them towards the mouth
Patients can sit with avatars at table groups or take a seat at free tables
In the therapist software, the Text-to-Speech Manager can be opened to the right above the observation screen to make avatars speak individually
