The Academy for VR Therapy is aimed at psychological psychotherapists, child and adolescent psychotherapists, and medical psychotherapists who would like to integrate Virtual Reality into their psychotherapeutic work in an evidence-based way.

No prior knowledge in the field of Virtual Reality is required.

Virtual Reality makes it possible to experience therapeutically relevant situations in a controlled, safe, and repeatable way. Especially in the treatment of addiction and anxiety disorders, the use of VR opens new therapeutic possibilities, for example in exposure therapy, relapse prevention, or resource activation. The application is always accompanied and controlled by therapists, allowing targeted and individualized therapeutic interventions.

Participants acquire solid, practice-oriented knowledge about the use of Virtual Reality in therapy. The focus is on concrete application examples and hands-on practice with VR systems in small groups rather than purely theoretical content.

Yes, the training is accredited by the Psychotherapists’ Chamber of Bavaria and has been awarded a total of 18 continuing education credits. Participation can therefore be counted toward professional continuing education.
