Stronger sense of presence through new upper body

As is well known, patients hold two controllers in their hands, which are transformed into hands in the virtual rooms.

This allows objects such as beer bottles and much more to be taken into virtual hands and interacted with.

Until recently, in order to display additional body parts, patients had to put on a special suit with sensors. For regular use in clinics, this is of course too much effort.

Our software has now succeeded in displaying the entire arms based only on the controller position, and you can see the entire upper body in the mirror.

This upper body also casts a shadow in most scenarios, which further increases the sense of spatial presence and thus realism.

With the complete arms, interacting with illegal substances or needles can now be carried out even more realistically.

New function in the supermarket

In reality, it is actually not allowed, but many patients practice this: opening beer cans in the supermarket.

That is why we received requests from some customers to make this possible.

We were happy to implement this. From now on, you can not only pick up the beer cans and put them in your shopping cart, but also open them straight away. The typical sound of opening a can is included, as is the ability to empty the beer from the can.
